Can anybody spare some change?

I was initially going to post something about whether I should get a haircut or not (don't answer that), but that's not what's really on my mind. It's something slightly deeper than that, though not much. I just feel that I need a change in my life. Now I'm not talking about anything too drastic. I'm not moving anywhere, sorry Tom, plus I love living with Jason and Ari. Even having McVitty for a year wasn't too bad and now we got Nick. And I don't need to change jobs either. I just went back to school a year ago and I'm loving it. This experience has really changed my life and will continue to do so. In 2010, I'm talking BIG change.
What I need is a change in my social life without deserting all my current friends. I've got two groups of friends, pagan people and bar people. I've got nothing bad to say about any of them. It's just that those groups have dramatically changed over the years. The pagan/603 folk have gotten married, moved, had children, etc. (That's most of you reading this.) Even my idiot, immature bar friends have "moved on in life." Many have moved all across the country and some have gotten into stable relationships and even married. Weekends have turned into just a chance to blow of some steam for a few hours on Saturday nights. There's no excitement, no mystery to it anymore. I could tell you exactly what's going to happen before doing, but its pretty boring a lot of times, especially going out to the bars. All of this has really affected my dating life. Hell, we can all be honest, my dating life is non-existant. Has been for years. I only meet one or two people a year I even consider asking out. I'm not asking for sympathy or hand-outs, I'm just stating the obvious.
So there's my situation in a nutshell. On the whole, I'm happy with my life, very much so. I'm just bored, that's all, especially today.

i don't know exactly why i'm doing this, maybe so i don't hve to talk about it over and over, maybe beause i don't allow shit like this to happen. so here goes.
about 2 months ago i met a waitress who works across the street from my restaurant. she was different. hell, i know what everyone's thinking now, but it was over a month before she was ever my waitress. just a nice girl who always went out of her way to spend time with me, no bullshit.
over the last several weeks, w've started spending a good deal of time together, usually while one or the other was working. we've tried to spend some real time together but our work schedules constanly collide. like one night she may get done before midnight, but i got to work too early in the morning. we've even made plans to spend some time together before work, but or date turn into 15 minutes together, though her sister showed up after 3 minutes. we tried to spend some time together after work that night. she asked me what i wanted to do when we met up and i said i just wanted to go home and chill out. no crowds, no drinking and she said let's go. unfortunately her sister came along cause she was her way home from work. then i left for starwood. oh, we did spend some time the next night but one again never alone for more than 10 minutes.
now this girl is different than anyone i've met in lets say around six years. i actually liked her. like i used to girls before became all cynical and jaded. this wasn't one of those, if this and that are all right this might work. maybe, maybe, maybe bullshit. that's been most of my relationships in a loooooooong time. longer that many peope who read this have even known me. i liked this girl. everything about her. no bullshit, no excuses, no maybes.
then she tells me last night she's moving this week. what!? not only that but her ex-boyfriend from six years has bought some farm and she's going to leave on friday to work on this farm. and she plans she to keep on working down here on the weekends and she wants to spend the weekends here, at my house, and this ex asked her to marry her. she didn't say she accepted. this all happened last week when she went up north to her family farm. and she missed me all week while i was away and though she hasn't left yet she misses me already. and she said quotes necessary "i love you". she told me that when we said good bye before i left for i left for starwood. at first i thought it was just in fun, but at least now i know she does feel something pretty strong for me.
i just fucking don't know.
i'm not confused or upset about a situation that always seems to happen to me. i'm genuinely sad, a feeling i have not felt in a long time. i just fucking don't know what to do.
well, i gotta go go be socialable, obligations. having a heart sucks!

ithought this bastard was gone, retired. now he says he's going to play again? as a chicago bears fan, we've hated the packers ever since i became a bears fan. we've had 20-something quarterbacks and the packers have had one brett favre. so i hate brett favre. now he says he's going to play again. cocksucker! at least it won't be the packers. he asked for his release from the team today. if he ends up in chicago..... hmmm?

Leaving today for Washington D.C. (will be stayin' back home in Virginia--lived there for two years). then it's off to Charleston, South Carolina. Headin' to a friends wedding. It's been way too long since I've been below the Mason-Dixon line. It'll be good. Plus the beach and the ocean, hell yeah I'm comin' home (sort of)!!!!
